I wish..
2009 April 24
- I wish.. I could be invisible.
- I wish.. people would not judge me.
- I wish.. people would not keep telling me my faults all the time.
- I wish.. I was just like normal people and didn’t think too much.
- I wish.. I wasn’t so vague.
- I wish.. I had a goal in life.
- I wish.. I would just mug things up like other kids and get into a good college.
- I wish.. WordPress.com had some nice themes.
- I wish.. the Inspiron 1525 had better in-built speakers.
- I wish.. this blog’s old readers could all come back.
- I wish.. I could wear my Billie Joe tie to college and not have people think I love formals.
- I wish.. the phone had a larger memory card.
- I wish.. I could buy this.
- I wish.. Green Day would come to India. Delhi, to be precise.
- I wish.. that concert could be as great as Milton Keynes and I could be in the mosh-pit.
- I wish.. Lady GaGa does a cover of every Coldplay song after hearing this.
- I wish.. Coldplay could come to India too.
- I wish.. I had a TV so I could watch all those I-Pill matches.
- I wish.. Kiri wins Roadies.
- I wish.. people would stop giving me girlfriend advice. I don’t need it, really.
- I wish.. people would stop thinking that I don’t understand when they’re making fun of me. I do.
- I wish.. I could have a Gibson for my new guitar.
- I wish.. everybody would join Twitter.
- I wish.. Aloo Patty goes back to costing 6 bucks instead of 12.
- I wish.. guys would stop wearing hawaii chappals with narrow bottom jeans. It looks horrible, trust me.
- I wish.. Winters come back soon.
- I wish.. I would stop cribbing and whining.
- I wish.. I could feel satisfied and happy with life.
But before that, I wish I had a life. Billie Joe says, “It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right”. I’ve seen the unpredictable part of it alright, now I’m only just waiting for it to get right. Someday, I think I will have the time of my life.
I guess all i can say is… I hope you have the time of your life [soon] tang tangtadada tang tangtadada tang tangtadada tang tangtadada tang… [air guitar]
I second Green Day’s India visit =D
What happened to your TV? :-\ You can watch those matches online I think.
I wish.. you would be more frequent in your blog posts;)
and also, I wish.. you are well.
Me and a friend ‘discovered’ your blog and he was so addicted he read it all, all your 76 pages, or so he said. A couple of days before the Computer Science 12th Board exam. I don’t think there’s mucha C++ in here, or is there?
:)
Cheers.
Hey. I dunno about much else, but I could volunteer if you need someone to Fix You. :)
[You wouldn't want to watch the IPL. We do at home, every match, and have an inhouse betting thing on. My account is currently in the negative.]
I wish exactly 14 of those listed above.
I wish I could read minds too.
And Kiri, yep, he really deserves to win.
awwwwwwwwwww
@Perx: I really hope so too. And I wish the same for you! And all that ting ding would sound nicer on an acoustic guitar for that matter. :P
@Balu: I third it! :D
@Ruhi: Nothing happened to my TV, just that I never had any personal one for myself. There are two TV’s in the house, one in the mother’s room and the other in the grandmother’s room. Both of them watch the same serials on two different TV’s and whenever I try to butt in, I’m told to go and study. *sigh*
You forget the kinda internet speeds we get back here dude. Live Streaming and stuff doesn’t work smoothly on 128k connections. I so wish Airtel would screw up and start giving unnatural speeds again. :(
@Shuvi: Oh, I shall try my best to fulfill your wish! And as far as my being well is concerned, well, we don’t really have much control over that.
Wow, he read all my 76 pages a day before the Computer Science board exam? Darn I didn’t even know I had 76 pages around here! Thanks to him and thanks to you!
Nah, there’s not mucha C++ here. Actually, I don’t think there’s any C++ here because I’ve never studied it. All I’ve studied is Visual Basic and a little bit of C. It’s mostly just whining and stuff. Somehow it just works with people giving their 12th boards, I guess. How, I wouldn’t know.
Cheers!
@Vasudha: Thanks much for the volunteering. I think I’ma reach a stage where I’ll need fixing very soon. More about that later. :P
Gee, your folks watch all the IPL matches with you? I wish mine would watch one at least. But they just can’t get enough of the Ammaji’s, the Ichcha’s, the Dadisa’, the Rajdeep Sardesai’s and the Arnab Goswami’s. Ab toh rame rakhe! :P
@Espera: 14 out of some 30 I believe? I think that’s good enough. I wouldn’t really wanna read minds because I don’t think I’ll find nice things about myself in them.
Kiri deserves to win, absolutely. Actually, it’s not really about Kiri deserving to win. It’s just that the Nauman guy and the Palak female don’t deserve to win. Palak is such a major actor.
@Mystique:: I don’t really know how to respond to that. But aww, thanks for the, um, emotion! Really!
I would like Green Day. And yaye, I live near this great bakery place where I get aaloo patty for 6 bucks only. hehe
I have heard that ‘No Man’ has already won it. Though I couldn’t find this at Internet myself. Hopefully it is rumor.
@Poonam: I’m sure there’s a good chance that Green Day will visit India on the promotional tour for 21st Century Breakdown.
We used to get aloo patty in our canteen for 6 bucks. And then the canteen contractor changed and now it costs 12 bucks and tastes exactly the same. It’s so unfair!
Uh, No-man? I really hope it’s a rumor too. But even he’s better than Palak winning it I think. That said, he still is pretty much an asshole.
Um, I do believe you understand I was being sarcastic about the c++ bit..!?!
Cummon!!! Now do you know what I have to do for aloo patty here? Cook it myself. So, you are better off.
I wish…mummy was here to cook food for me! :(
hey ur old blog readers r stil here :D
n btw i dint undrstd tht 1…i wish i hd a tv :-/
u dnt ?? :-/
Well, none of the people who used to visit my blog ever do now either. I guess it’s just something that happens :/
Oohh … I want a Gibson too!
Mugging up stuff isn’t exactly very good though …
You like Winters?
Um … I meant those who used to visit when I started it. Right now, of course no one does since I haven’t posted in a long while :D
“I wish someday I will have the time of my life”
No…I think we all continously are having the time of our lives. The point is that we are not paying much attention to it. We just need to realise that ‘this is’ the time of our life.
wishes fulfill life :d
keep wishing and ye shall get it
I wanted Sufi to win :)
And I wish all ur wishes come true :)
BTW u r pro which team???
I can help with one.
Oh and as a kid I thought I had control over the wind, maybe my abilities extend to snow.
Hey… what happened to you??? Missing your posts!! Take care
Awww!! A guy writing such a senti post like this is too cute! =D
BUT, Green Days coming to Bangalore!! Buahahaa!
WP does have some good themes you know…You should LOOK for them.
You have a Billie Joe tie?
And, dude, even I wish Coldplay and Green Day would come to Delhi. What a coincidence? :P
Oh, I like the end of the post. :D
“I wish.. I was just like normal people and didn’t think too much.”
Liked that. How many times have other people told me not to think much!
Also liked Dev’s observation.
@Shuvi: Um yeah, I did. Why would anybody read blogs for tips on C++ anyway? Might as well get done with them books first.
@Amit: Okay fine, you win! But the thing is, we had Aloo Patty worth 6 bucks in here and then suddenly one day they shifted the canteen and opened up a Nescafe. Although opening a Nescafe is good because you get Ice-Tea and stuff but at the same time the prices of all eatables has been skyrocketing. So basically I think one should just bring food from home.
@Shaivi: Some of them are, some of them aren’t. Anyway, I’m glad that some of them are. :D
That was meant as, “I wish I had a TV in my room”. We have 2 TV’s in the house and none of them is in my room. That means I cannot watch late night matches or anything else in the day for that matter because everyone’s busy watching their own channels.
@Sahil: I guess people just grow up and get busy with their own lives. Blogging and commenting is just a phase for most. Even you and me don’t exactly blog as enthusiastically as we used to, do we?
Gibson, ahh. I wish they were a little..actually a lot less expensive.
Mugging up stuff isn’t good, I know. But that’s the way to go about it. You have to do that in the end or else you get your ass kicked by everyone who does it.
I love Winters. I was born in Winters so maybe that’s where the love began.
@Dev: Hey, thanks for visiting!
A very interesting point you have right there. We have the Time of Our Lives everyday. Indeed we do. But I guess it just depends on how you look at it. I’m not a very optimistic person and so I tend to take failures to heart and right now that’s all that is happening. There is a need to rediscover, to prove myself and to generally be satisfied, you know? That for me is Time of My Life and it isn’t exactly happening right now.
@Princess: Yeah, I’m good at wishing and hoping. Just need to translate that into actually working for it lol.
@Smita: Sufi was a deserving candidate, for sure. I’m not supporting any team at the IPL. I think I semi-supported the Knight Riders because of SRK in the first season. But I don’t feel like supporting even them now.I just watch the matches neutrally. I like the Delhi Daredevils, though.
@Nik: Um, so you can help me with the winter part, right? Go ahead, I’m waiting. And winds would do, I think. We don’t get snow in here anyway. But yea, you’ll have to get snow in the mountains so the temperature falls here. Um, besta luck for all that?
@Maddie: I don’t know what happened to me. I wish I did.
@Priya: Hahaha, really? Okay. :P
Yeah, I heard that Green Day is coming to Bangalore too but it’s nothing official yet because the dates are not on the website. If they’re coming to Bangalore, I’m coming to Bangalore too. Absolutely cannot afford to miss that concert. The mosh-pit part will have to be sacrificed though, I don’t think I’ma have that kind of money.
WP have good themes, sure. And rest assured, I tried every one of them but didn’t like any. I like wide themes, like the one I had previously. The Journalist themes are nice but they’re too plain and boring in the end.
@Nids: Yep, I have a tie exactly like the one he’s worn in American Idiot. Took me a LONG time to find it and costed a LOT of $$$ as well. I’ll show you someday.
Oh yea, such co-incidence, really? :P
I’ll start liking the end of it when the last line decides to go true. Right now, um, it’s going in the exact opposite direction.
@Mahendra: Hey, thanks for visiting!
Oh yes, somebody or the other always keeps telling me that I think too much and take life too seriously. And sometimes even I feel that they’re right. I should be a little more laid back and stuff but it doesn’t work. Or maybe I didn’t try hard enough.
I liked Dev’s observation too.
Amen :)
hey! i’m back :)
sorry for running away……
