While I download Microsoft’s .NET Framework 2.0 so that I can make Handbrake work on my computer, I’m going to make a post about 3 supremely weird/wicked/funny Microsoft Windows bugs.
Bug#1: Can you CON?
There is some kind of a bug in Windows that will not let you create a folder named “CON”. Go on, try it yourself!
Go to desktop >> Right click on an empty area >> Hover over “New” >> Click on “Folder” >> A folder with the name “New Folder” created >> Single click on “New Folder” and you can edit the name >> Rename the folder as “CON” >> Click somewhere else.
You will notice that the name reverts back to “New Folder”. Wicked heh?
Bug#2: What did Bush hide?
This is a bug with Notepad. All you have to do is type “Bush hid the facts” without the inverted comma’s in Notepad and then save it and reopen it. Do it in Notepad, not in MS-Word. They are two different things. Try it yourself!
Open Notepad.exe >> Type in “Bush hid the facts” >> Save the file anywhere >> Reopen it and have fun!
Bug#3: The MS-Word trick
This one is a more popular bug. Many of you might have read about it. It was even featured in ‘One Night @ The Call Center’ by Chetan Bhagat. All you have to do is type “=rand(200, 99)” without the inverted comma’s in Microsoft Word and see the fun. It will print “A quick brown fox jumps over the lazy little dog” many times automatically. It definitely has something to do with the Randomize function. Try it yourself!
Open a New Microsoft Word Document >> Type in “=rand(200, 99)” >> Press Enter >> See the fun!

@Tismar: Ah well, if the Bush one is designed to work that way, then Google and Microsoft are united against one thing - George W Bush. Don’t you remember the wicked thing with Google where if you write “Loser” and click on “I’m feeling Lucky”, it leads you to Bush’s autobiography. They’ve fixed it now though.

Cool, mine is black in colour and I’ve fallen in love with the wheel too: so perfectly logical. Only, movies are too small for my eyes lol. One thing I hate about the Nano (and iPod in general) is that you have to manage it through iTunes.
A few things: 1) do young people nowadays still like Bob Dylan’s music? Meraviglia (wonder)! It makes me feel younger. 2) You Indian people seem to have a perfect Victorian English. Do you learn it at school? You learn it as one of your languages? It gives you some advantage on Chinese people anyway, whose civilization is as ancient as yours but whose language it immensely challenging (I am sorry we in the West always put India and China together, but both of you are probably tomorrow superpowers).
CON is a old unix or dos command, I don’t remember which. There are other commands that windows doesn’t allow you to create folders of one of them being PRN.
That bush one is kewl, though. What about that excel airplane game? I once tried it using the tip in Cheatbook Database and it worked. I don’t remember now, but I think it worked only in Excel 97,2000…
