I thought finally I’d make a real post. So here goes!

This is about two songs I keep singing all day long and for the first time in years, both of them are Hindi. One is conventional Bollywood type and the other one is a catchy comedy by a college band. Let’s talk about them one by one :-

First, XLRI Ki Kudiyan

This isn’t actually fit to be called an official song but it is, and it is absolutely mind blowing. The song has been sung and composed by a group called BodhiTree. These are a group of students from XLRI, Jamshedpur, India. Apparently, their drummer is a female. They usually sing songs full of swearings but even that is an art. XLRI Ki Kudiyan (Girls of XLRI) fortunately doesn’t have any swearings. The lyrics are predictable but the song is so catchy and happily sung that you can’t stop smiling after having listened to it. You can sing it when the mood is bad and it’ll bring a smile upon your face. Must hear for all Indians and foreigners can hear it too, if they somehow manage to get the lyrics translated into English. Other popular songs by BodhiTree are Gaand Main Danda(Stick in the Ass) and Sabka Katega(Everybody’s will get cut). These songs have double meaning lyrics but are great fun too. People though think these songs are bad. My argument is, that if you can listen to Eminem saying all kinds of shit, why not our own Indian shit?

The second song is It’s Rocking.

I like this song just for the sound of it. It’s a typical Indian song with a contemporary touch because it’s been sung by Alisha Chinoy who has sung songs like Made in India and Kajra Re. The song belongs to a movie called “Kya Love Story Hai” and the movie bombed badly but the song stood out thanks to the nice lyrics, catchy beat AND KAREENA KAPOOR who managed to look super duper hot in the video. The song grows on you like a parasite and within a couple of days, you’ll be singing it. Another must hear for all Indians and foreigners can also try it out even if they don’t understand it. It just sounds good to the ears.
