Update-Wednesday,October 4,2006
This week,Akassh Deep Saigal and Bindi were voted out.After having scored dismally last week,they didn’t get much support from the audience either and got voted out.I thought they were pretty good last time around actually.Ajay Jadeja deserved to leave but well that’s the way it is.Akassh didn’t leave as such.He spoke his heart out and said everything that he’d been keeping inside to the judges.

Update-Thursday,October 5,2006
This week,every participant had to perform twice.One of the dances had to be either Jugalbandi or Waltz and the other one had to be something the contestants hadn’t performed before.Mahesh Manjrekar shocked everyone with an excellently choreographed performance.It was something only a director could think of.It had Mahesh as a guy who could not speak and his partner Sonia as a girl who can’t see.It was a love story between them and some nice soothing dance to top it all.He made all the judges cry like babies.Sonia Jaffer was commendable with the way she acted.She could very well become an actress.Sanjay Leela Bhansali was specially touched because it seemed inspired from 2 of his films which have done really well i.e. Khamoshi and Black.Apart from Mahesh,Mona Singh scored high in both her performances.Shveta didn’t do well in the first performance but was totally perfect in the second one.Here’s what the scores looked like..

Update-Wednesday,October 11,2006
Today was the voteout day and this time the right decision was made.Ajay Jadeja had to leave.Now it’s the best three left i.e. Shveta,Mahesh and Mona.I haven’t ever liked Ajay’s performance a lot and think he’s been overrated and has been getting a lot of votes thanks to Rea too,but today he made the best exit possible.He gave gifts to all the judges and even Parmeet and Archana.He brought a teapot for Farah Khan,a purse for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and a T-Shirt which said “Hot” for Shilpa Shetty.He also brought an alarm clock for his partner Rea who he said was in a habit of getting late.He really made everyone cry while looking so graceful himself.I have a lot more respect for him now.
Anyhow,it’s the last three couples left now.Don’t forget to catch the Semi Final on Thursday on Sony Entertainment Television.Jhoom ke aaja,Jhalak Dikhlajaa.

This one was a crucial voteout because it was down to the last three and all of them are very popular and loved bu the audience and judges but someone had to leave.So it was director/actor Mahesh Manjrekar who had to leave this time.Mahesh will be remembered for his wit,comedy and choreography and also f or his comments and tapori dances.His choreographer Sonia Jaffer was pretty popular too.Now it’s down to Shveta and Mona Singh.Yes,it’s the final of Jhalak Dikhlaja this Thursday on Sony Entertainment Television.

Today’s episode has almost decided the winner.It’s just upto the viewers votes now.Shveta Salve reigned supreme with 85 points while Mona Singh had to stay content with 72.Both the contestants had to perform 3 times and they improved gradually.Mona seemed a bit underpracticed in the first performance but did well in the second and third ones.She got 20,24 and 26 points respectively.Shveta was nice in all the three performances and she got 26,29 and 30 points for her three performances.I think having Longi with her is a great advantage but yes,I must not forget that she’s a natural dancer.Tobby is very good too but he tends to get a bit repetitive at times and Farah Khan mentioned that too saying,”I don’t want lifts and all in every dance.Kuch Naya Karo.”.The Bottomline,the judges have rated Shveta higher and so she deserved according to yesterday’s performance.
Now it’s time for you guys to vote your favorite and don’t miss the Grand Finale of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Sony Entertainment Television.

Today as all of you must be aware was the final of Jhalak Dikhlaja and yeah,the audience has won again.It’s the audience favorite Mona Singh who has defeated the technically sound Shveta Salve.It shocked me and well dissapointed too but that’s the way it is.

i lov 2 see Rea, she is hot,goodlookin & cute 2.I m feeling sorry 4 her that is not in d final’s.My wish was 2 see her & so even though she was not in d semi-final round on 11th October i still met her,clicked a picture & took d autograph i was so happy at that moment.My personal advice 2 her is that,that she she try in Bollywood as she is goodlookin,superb dancer & charming.My 1 more wish would be that i wanna go with her 4 a date.

The decisions made by the judges was totally unfair in Jhalak Dikhlaja. I am surprised that Ajay Jadeja is still present in the competetion. I don’t know why.

and by far shveta is the best ….wat a dancer she is …i wudnt have known if it wasnt for JDJ …i hope she stays next week ….but the chances look slim dont they?!!…both shveta and mona sittin at 51…oh well i dont care if she remains or not …i got to know that she is a brilliant dancer …and above all she is such a Diva 2 me ….i want her to go movies…i think she will make a fine actress…!!

I think Mahesh is the best….he has entertained us in each and every show….he has always been consistent…and look at his energy level compared to his age….everyone has been quite younger than him…but he seems to energize the crowd the most….and did not know anything about dancing….I think he deserves this award along with Sonia

Last night’s show made me cry. I really didn’t expect mahesh and sonia to leave. Sonia is the best chereographer. She made Mahesh dance so well. And their dance items are so different from the rest in terms of theme. Not forgetting that they are also entertaining. And Sonia is such a hot babe, I hope her carrer takes off to newer heights aftr this show.
I think Shweta should win as this is a dance competition and Shweta seems to be able to do it well. Just look at her expression and energy in all her dances! This is in contrast to Mona who keeps giving the “I don’t know how to dance” and “I’m not a dancer” excuses for her bad performance. Doesn’t she realise that all the celebrity participants in this show are non-dancers actually. I thought she was OK, but lost respect for her when I heard these lame excuses.

No doubt Sonia is a good dancer, but Mahesh was the worst. He should have been out a long time back. All said and done the best two are in the finals and that is the way it should be. I am looking forward to a fantastic competation between Toby/Mona and Shevta/Longi. They are the best.

i think the Jhalak Dikhlaja judges are not fair to mona they dont give her the points she deserves they havent given her a ten ten ten last week shevta performance wasnt that good but they still gave her good marks all though this week she was GREAT =) but monas better =)=)and also shilpa shetty always gives what the other judges give last week she said her self mona was superb and she still didnt gave her a ten beacuse all the other judges gave her a 9 or 8 i hope mona wins shes great and gorjeeous and a SUPERB dancer i give her a 10 10 10 =)although one of them did give her a ten today which was great beacuse he actually gave her the marks she deserves still the other points werent fair!!! i hope she wins =)=)=) mona rocks my socks !!!! & tobbys hott =)& also im sad to see manish leaveeeeee he & his partner were greattttttttt it takes two to tango=)

Well, I am in a loss of words. I never watched this show or had any particular interest in it until I actually sat down to watch it. Shweta is indeed good, but note that Mahesh also had the highest amount of points with the judges overall. Well, 87 vs. 72…a difference of 15 points is rather a LARGE difference but it is true, Mona has improved. The performances that I liked of her the best was when she did Munna Bhai & the disco song esp…the robot moves were awesome. I love Mona Singh…not because she was the star on Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin but because she is a conservative, simple Punjabi girl who shows no form of conceitedness whatsoever. She has good sportsmanship and she seems like the type of girl who we all know. However, Shweta is the better dancer out of the two. She can move her body quite well and shows A LOT of emotion when she dances. Beedi was a number that I enjoyed as well as the older song she did last night (10/19) in which Longi moved her skirt around. It is awesome to see these stars go at it and work to their ultimate best. Each of them are winners in their own way…now it is between Mona & Shweta. I personally was shocked that Mona made it that far. Perhaps the fans are biased when voting. Perhaps not. You could even sense on the 18th when Mahesh left how upset the judges were. But, this is a show and ultimately there’s only 1 winner…so jhoomke aaja…jhalak dikhalaja !

On a side note, if I could vote right here, right now, Mona Singh has my vote all the way for the reasons listed above. When I vote for someone, it is not only because of their performances but also includes merit, hard work, determination, and attitude. Shweta is indeed a brilliant woman on the stage and as mentioned above she gives it her all, however, she has been experienced with dancing and for some odd reason she seems to know that she does good out there. Confidence is good..I like that in a person since I lack a lot of it, but it also is a downfall in one as well. This is the downfall I sense in Shweta…the sense that she knows that she is good. I would be happy to see her win as well but out of the two I would choose Mona.
Does anyone know in the next one who the judges will be and the contestants ? This show is AWESOME ! =)

I love Jhalak Dikhlaja! I think the judges on this show aren’t as biased as the ones on Nach Baliye, which is great b/c that means some fantastic performances by the really talented dancers. I absolutely adored the way Mahesh Manjrekar did that sad song, where Sonia played the blind girl, the song was perfect, the movements so graceful and meaningful….I must know the name of that song, and who it’s sung by, and which movie it’s from, if any! Please let me know, if anyone has an idea. Shveta rocks!! I hope she wins…

So after a continuous hard-work and entertainment process….Toby/Mona and Shevta/Longi are left….the final contestents.
No doubt they deserve it. Was slightly sad to see Mahesh n Sonia OUT.
The combinaion of their talents really gave a new….fresh….entertaining and amazing performance everytime. Their way of expressing a concept or story was just SUPERB!!!!
Shveta…no doubt wud be the winner. Her clean and polished way of dancing with perfect facial expressions is unique. She reminds us of Madhuri Dixit’s hindi numbers. Inspite of th excellant comments n compliments from the judges everytime…she doesn’t over react or act kiddish…..she only says…”THANK YOU” Shows her matured behaviour full of control on herself and her body language.
Mona is good…has shown the improvement, but. No doubt she is gtng the emotional votes…JASSI….tussi gr8 ho!!!!
I wanted Mahesh-Soniya and Shveta-Longi to be in the final gala…..anyways….all the best to both the pairs.

Somewhere inside,I wanted Mahesh to be there too but actually speaking and after having read people’s comments,I’ve realised that Mona was better because Mahesh had the choreography factor.The dance wasn’t all that good.I think he got some unwanted praise from the judges too and Mona has been pretty low on that.She has given some nice performances and still hasn’t got even one 30.I think she deserved more.
Out of the remaining ones,in my opinion,Shveta deserves to win because as you said,she’s so effortlessly brilliant.Let’s just wait and watch.

i am not satisfied judges score for mona/toby. It is not fare all three judges never appreciate justthey appreciate shveta. Last two performace was excellent but every time ferha gave her 8 or 9 shilp she copy both judges to give score. i don’t like these two judges. sorry .

Very true.The judges seem to be very biased towards Shveta especially Sanjay Leela Bhansali.Mona has done well at times and deserved a 30 but she hasn’t got them.Shilpa Shetty doesn’t seem to have a brain.Her comments and marks are totally clashing and yeah,they are what the other judges give.Perhaps she’s just scared to be different

I totally agree with you..I feel that first and foremost Shveta should have not been into the dance show as this dance show was for people who didn’t know how to dance and Shveta has behaved as if she never knew how to dance….what a liar!!!!!! I have noticed that the other dancers have put a lot of effort and got out of this show. I feel that Mahesh and Mona should have been there in the grand finale and not that fake shveta…….

Ive read all the comments, i feel sorry for the way the audience/people judge the best performer…. mahesh doesn’t know how to dance so he better be out, mona has the audience sympathy but its very sad that if people are going to sympathise n vote this is bad…. jhalak dikhlaja is a dance competion n NOT an emeitonal winning streak kinda of a thing… i personally feel if therez someone who deserves this winner title, it none other then Shweta coz she has got all tat it takes to be an excellent dancer… Remember guys everyone works hards but the best deserves the best… so stop behaving like an emotional idiot & vote for the candidate who suits the title not the one who just about manages to dance… i aint a biased person…. i do like mona…. but she DOESNT know to dance that well….. so lets not start giving a title to people who DONT deserve it but rather the one who whole heartedly deserves it…. mona no doubt dances but her performance needs to be sharpened still… c’mon guys pls donnot get carried away by beauty, or emotions or ne kinda stupid feeling…. plese learn to justify the right performance… shweta deserves it i everyway.. her facial expression, her synchronization, the funky steps & the grace, everythign that needs to be put together for the right performance….. shweta i very good, thanks to longi for sharpenning her well…..

I agree that voting should be done on the basis of peformance and not on an emotional basis and I don’t know why people like Mona so much but still,she is a decent enough dancer.The point is that Shveta already was a good dancer and Mona has improved a lot.I know Shveta should win too but atleast Mona deserves better marks for her performances from the judges.They seem to have developed something against her.Their judgement of Mona is the same as the judgement of the comment posters towards Shveta.
Moreover,this happens in every competition.We always have the more popular contestant winning.Only that can explain Abhijeet Sawant becoming an Indian Idol when there were more deserving Rahul Vaidya and Amit Sana.That’s what explains Debojit becoming the Sa Re Ga Ma champion when Vineet was better than him.And only that explains the blind kid in Sa Re Ga Ma L’il Champs getting more votes then the girl who is technically the best singer.But I think that Shveta is going to win this because there is a 15 marks difference already and Shveta is also relatively popular among the guys.We’ll see though,there aren’t many days left.

Hello. how are you ? I have a comment for you and please do not take this as an offense. I just wanted to point out a few things.
- Sanchita, on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, had the highest amount of votes in the final round. I do not remember in exact number the number that she had BUT it was much higher than the blind child Diwarkar, who was in second place. If they felt so much for Diwarkar, then Sameer would not have been given the 3 chances he has been given on that show. Yes, many tend to sympathize but that is something beyond our control. I tend not to sympathize but all 3 of those kids are good. Sanchita is a future Sunindhi Chauhan. Sameer is clearly a great singer. Diwarkar is just good. not spectacular. But he is GOOD. One more thing, one’s handicap, is also one’s strength which Diwarkar has on top of those 2 kids. Let’s see who ends up winning.
- Okay, now Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. Yes Vinit did have the highest amount of votes at one point. He did sing TERA JADOO CHAL GAYA extremely well but what slammed him was when him, Himani, and Himesh Chandra decided to, without talking to Debojit and the judges, to walk out. This is a game, one is bound to win. This is the point. One has to be selfish to think otherwise. Yes, emotions do sink in between the contestants and judges but what those 3 kids did was yes indeed a mistake but out of their ignorance. That day made me realize how strong of a player Debojit was and how he did not complain but instead, played the game fairly. Maybe he got a lot of votes due to Yalgaar Ho’s Ismail walking out, which was a bit petty to say at the least, but Debojit is fantastic. If you heard him sing Ek Haseena Thi, his new album song JEENA OH HASEENA and the last episode where he sang with Sameer. Debojit is good. I get rather upset to see when those get biased and type for Vinit. Look at Vinit, he went on Saat Phere to sing for the shaadi episode along with Himani and he was on tour with Himesh. Not only that, but he sang one song in the film Rocky. How much more could one ask for ? Thus, all of them have been winners in their own way. But, I have to disagree with you Ish sorry, Debojit was clearly the deserved winner.
As for Jhalak, it does seem that judges do claim to have their favorites and an emotional bias but it is not them who vote. It is us. I love Mona Singh. As I clearly stated above, I have many reasons. But, ultimately, the winner of the show is the one who has overall done their best. Both contestants have. However, Shweta has proved herself by 15 points and she did a superb job. Mona did not do that great of a job last week but the week before she really did. I also believe the judges wanted her to leave and Mahesh to stay in the end and perhaps they are more lenient on Shweta winning. However, many fans vote for who they like majority of the time, not on who should get it or deserves it. I try to vote on who deserves it on many different levels. Then again, who am I to say I would like to see Mona win when I truly believe that Shweta is a superb dancer. Not only that, but look at her body language. If you look at it in many standpoints, you can compare both ladies in many ways good and bad both. Now don’t forget the men as well.
And I leave here with one more thing to say to the beloved fans out there, don’t vote for Shweta because of her looks or don’t vote for Mona because of her being the Jassi in your eyes. You all must remember that all that comes aside, the winner is that who deserves it despite what shows they may have been on or their appealness to you. Try to vote with fair judgment so that for those of you who do complain about the winner, at least YOU know that you voted fairly and not out of bias like many out there.

Hey…exactly ! I could not agree with you any more. We need fans like that who vote with their minds and not with their hearts. Then those fans end up becoming hypocrits later complaining that “OH WELL SHWETA WON…BECAUSE OF BLAH BLAH BLAH” Well then next time vote on who deserves to win and maybe less occurrances like these will not happen as much !!!!

Thanks for the comment and no,I don’t mind it.It actually feels good.Firstly,I did not know about all those walkouts and stuff.Debojit is good but I thought Vinit was better.You may think differently which is perfectly okay.
Secondly,I watched that episode of Sa Re Ga Ma which they had in Banaras and Sanchita had the lowest number of votes there and Alka Yagnik was literally begging people to vote for Sanchita.She is a furure Sunidhi Chauhan no doubt.

the results of this show , as per me , are based on 2 factors.one being the dancing factor and the other the popularity factor.it will not surprise me if popularity outweighs the dance ability and puts one of them in the winner slot.Something very nice about Mona is her every performance has a different look whereas swata ’s style looks a little repetetive…. since her facial expressions are always very agressive…… and one expects at this level to be morer balanced and matured with the way you handle comments and compliments…. overreacting is commonly found with swetha … no doubt she has a great dancing soul within…..as a dancer swetha…. yes, as a contestant on the whole… manjrekar was really great and Mona has her maturity , humble nature ….and appealing looks as a plus point

thanks for your reply… to be honest am a salsa dancer myself, i know wot it takes to perform its isnt dat easy to groove…it takes end number of practices to make a performance perfecto no matter how good ure at danceing… i like Mona’s performance but if u carefully watch her, she no doubt has improved but NOT to the extent that she deserves the title she still can’t shake her hips her sychoroniztion is close to perfection but still not in line… she is cute, pretty but c’mmon gal n guys lets not judge beauty wid performance, i watchd her dance closely she could hardly shake her hips…. i aint a biased person but i personally feel that shveta deserves it not beocz she is a born dancer but becoz she gives her best when shez on stage….. many a times no mattter how well we dance we still cant grab the applause but shweta truly deserved in her performance…. i just loved her when she danced on that golmaal number & that old number last week with that costume gimmick…. it takes a lot to perform…. longi too good!!! toby is an excellent dancer too… so to all you people i request you once more to vote form your head not form your stupid hearts which only look for beauty & emotions & i wonder wot all!!!
Ish sorry to say but i dont agree wid u saying that the judges arnt justifying mona’s performance, i feel when farah points out mona’s flaws its apt n to the point…. remember shweta’z performance last to last week was bad it was clearly highlighted by sanjay leela bhasali that the choreography was BAD!!! she got the spanking well.. so i dont think that the judges have anything against mona…i feel shilpa shetty doesn’t deserve to be on the show but u see one naked beauty has to be der just like maliaka arora of nach baliye to set the TRP’s soaring high!!wota stupid thing- lets have real professionals to judge the show, shilpa no doubt is decent compared to maliaka arora!!

I think Mona deserves to win. Its all about attitude. Mona comes across as an intelligent girl who knows what she wants to do.
Its not just about dancing it is all about coping up with a new things which you never tried before and being good.

I read all the comments, it was great to get input about these reality shows, was sveta really a part of Farah Khans troup, i doub t that, but yes she is a great dancer, I think if MOna was 10 pounds lighter her hips would move better. i think she tried her 100% kudos to her, she did great. As of sveta, girl you are good and i am sure Mr Bhansali would give you a chance tow rok for him which will definately be your win.

It’s not fair that Mona won.Shveta should have won because she dances better than her. It’s not because Shveta performed in SARKAR but her expressions were beautiful and her energy level was high.Shveta is Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’s Madhuri. Didn’t you see the judges were not happy with the Janta’s decision especially Mr.Bhansali although they hugged Mona.

It was disappointing to see Shveta Salve lose since she was hands down the best dancer. Also thought Mahesh Manjrekar should have been in the finals. True talent does not seem to win the heart of the masses anymore. The announcers, Parmeet and Archana seemed a little biased in how they phrased the dancing background of the finalists. I won’t be watching this program anymore.

Hi Everyone, I read all your reviews and found each and every one of them interesting. Mona and Shveta seem to have equal no. of fans here! I salute both for their hard work and determination. But for all who think Shveta deserved to win, etc, etc, u have to know 1 very important detail. Shveta is a trained kathak dancer- a detail she seems to completely omit. And this I have read about her before JDJ started. While it’s true that just coz u learn one dance form another doesn’t have to be easy, it’s also true that a trained dancer emotes with ease. Being a dancer myself I know this to be true. If u have watched any other celeb on the show, u’ll see that NONE of them could manage the expressions and the dancing with the ease Shveta did. No doubt she was GREAT but in all fairness they should have taken a celeb who had no dancing experience at all like the others. Anyway I’m happy Mona won! :)

Well such a happening show and such a sad ending. Mona obviously didnt deserved to win. The show is about dance and the judgement should also be made on the same, which Shveta is a hundred times better at. This was more of a popularity contest rather than a judgement on the dancing skills of the contestants. That is the only reason why Mona Singh won. The choreography in Mona and Toby’s dances was frequently commented on by the judges that it was too repetitive (thereby making it more simple). Regarding Shveta’s possible background of learning kathak at some stage of her life, if she was a “professional dancer” she would have been disqualified from participating as a contestant on JDJ. For that matter it is also possible that Mona Singh must have learned bhangra and other dances due to her punjabi background (and you could see how comfortable she was doing some of those moves in some of her dances). So hands down this was definitely a popularity contest won by Jassi.

Hi i read all the comments on jhalak dikhlaja and it is very interesting. My personal favourite was Mona, she seems to be one of those next door neighbour type girl like Kajol. However performance wise i did think that Shveta will win. But when the results were announced i thought the reacton from Shveta was not at all that of a sporty person. I understand the emotions but she should have controlled them till she was back stage. Now , think overall a very nice personality that Mona has made her the winner.

Why are some of you guys so rude…it is obvious that shveta was a professional dancer because her moves showed it. Even the judges said she was a professional dancer in the finale…so why are you guys denying it? Mona was good and whoever said she probably learnt bhangra, please, people who learn bhangra have different body movements and they don’t learn salsa. Also, Shveta was such a bad sport and she was over confident that she was going to win so I am glad she lost at least it smacked her back into reality.

Hello everyone ! It is absolutely spectacular to see such responses from viewers and fans all over. Well, personally, I said…may the best one dance. Yes, Shweta has the magic up there when she dances and yes Mona has improved drastically. What many fail to realize that in the end, there is ultimately one winner and one loser. I know that hurts, but everyone goes on the show to win with knowingly being aware that they too can lose. I am happy for Mona. I just hope that the
janta who voted voted for the right reasons but congratulations to her & Toby. Everyone is champions in their own way. For Shweta to reach the level seh did was S-uperb. One thing that I would like to say is that it is emotional for everyone, but at least the judges could have tried looking happy. They had to know that one was going to leave there losing but more importantly, Mona & Shweta respected all 3 of them very much. I felt as if they were deeply hurt and upset by Shweta’s loss and less focused on Mona’s win which is rather shady in a sense.
However, on a better note, this show was absolutely SUPERB. These contestants all show their passion in dancing…it is great ! The show was well and everyone showed their jhalak up there ! This was a FANTASTIC show on their part & they should be proud of that much. It went well…the judges were great, the husband duo announcers were fabulous…both Archana & Parmeet both have great chemistry with everyone on the show, themselves, and with us as the viewers. This was a good season. Guys, don’t let the entire show go down or look bad to you just because of the winner or loser, look at the entire season and all the talent that we have out there. There is so much out there everyone!
Thank you fans & everyone…keep posting…talk more about the other shows, the upcoming Big Boss…premiering on SET November 3rd, any other shows, Hindi cinema, whatever….keep coming !!

Mona’s dances were very simple dances so it was disappointing to see shveta’s hard work and beautiful dancing go unappreciated. I find it extremely rude when people are saying shveta’s crying upon hearing the results was a sign of her over confidence. Did you not see the pre finale shows and how she was so gracious and sincere? She was very cordial to her opponent throughout. The crying at the end was just the sorrow for not achieving her goal after SO MUCH hard work and effort she put into it. What I found extremely distasteful was the bias shown by the announcers, parmeet especially, and pooja bedi. All the other contestant were asked to name their favorite but they refused in order show all around camaraderie. However, pooja bedi was so in everyone’s face with her pick of mona just because she is punjabi. Very unsportsman-like.

Hi everyone, Mona is the winner of “Jhalak Dikhla Ja”, sooo pathetic!! i think shweta is a much better dancer than Mona. Although Mona got better n better but she never reached the standard which shweta has set. I think Mona is a very clever girl, she has learned how to fool the audience by acting very innocent, thanks to the team of “Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin” for showing her this path;)
Parmeet and Archana were too biased in promoting Mona, they made audience feel that shweta has done nothing, just because she is a professional dancer. Didn’t they see shweta’s hard work.
Finally, judges had declared Shweta as a winner. Is that not enough to justify that shweta was much better than Mona. To me, Shweta deserved to win this contest.

I am glad the judges showed their discontent with the results because the public made it a popularity contest rather than rewarding the best dancer. I think all the people who are critical of Shveta are jealous of her because she danced so well and looked so hot! Poor Toby who had to lift Mona so many times in her condition!! And Mona milked her Jassi popularity to her full advantage even till the end when she put on her dorky glasses again. Kya chaalaak ladki hai! Anyhow, whatever you Shveta haters say does not matter because she will go on to be more successful because true talent never holds anyone back for long.

Hey…how is everyone here ? I would just like to say Pressy, I am glad that people like us are out there that THINK before voting…and not vote because of Mona being a Jassi or Shweta being hot. That show was AMAZING and people seem to forget of how successful the season was but instead choose to dwell on Shweta’s loss, Mona’s win, et al. Well, I would love to be a judge in the future because I may not have dance experience but I have done many dances in the past that I’d make my own choreography for. I’ve been as fair to all of the contestants and yes, Pooja Bedi is right, everyone is always more partial to the other…it is good that she was the only one to have said that, but at the same time, we have to vote with the best intentions. Otherwise, what will the other future Jhalak Dikhalaja’s be all about ? I think possible judges should be at least Sophie (dancer/singer) , Prabhu Deva, (I would say Arshad Warsi but with Big Boss and all he is a BUSY man), & Hrithik Roshan. Allow me to state my reasonL

Sophie is a young, vibrant, singer with dancing capabilities. She would definitely be an awesome judge up there. If not her someone fresh and young much like Udita Goswami even !
Prabhu Deva because he is a choreographer…he has done some amazing work….including teaching Hrithik his dance # main aisa kyun hoon from Lakshya. Well, and we all know how Hrithik gives it his all up on stage or whenever he dances. He has good moves….and it’s good to have a member from Bollywood up there. Well, anyways, take care & keep in touch !!!!

I live in the US and don’t have too much opportunity to watch Indian television. However, I did go to India this Diwali and was hooked on JDJ ….. wwithout bias I though Shewata was a great dancer ….. Mona Singh really dried her popularity dry as Jessie (I watched the begenning of the show in the US of Jessie Jasie Koi nahain … till my husband was so irrated with the character that he’d make me switch channels) … Shewata deserved to win, and I hated Archana in her tight tasteless outfits. Would love to buy the dance CD’s of all the episodes of Jhalak Dikhlaja.
Also would like to know where does Toby conduct his dance classes as I wish to join. I think he is the most creative and superb choreographer.

I really!really!really!iove to watch “JHALAK”.It is a fabulas show.Trully telling,I wanted “SHVETA and LONGI”towin,no dought that “MONA”worked very hard.Hats off to her but as a dancer it was only “SHVETA”.I could judge them because I to am a dancer.

It is great that Mona won……she deserve it. Shveta should never have entered the contest…..she can dance. She made a show for ZEE TV and she is lying by saying dancing is not her forte. Of course it was apleasure to watch her on TV but it was wrong of the judges for letting her enter the competition. Looks like she just want to be noticed for some bollywood roles !

Shweta was definately a great dancer. But the point of the show was to have non dancers learn and compete with each other. Haven’t any of you seen Shweta’s stage performances prior to JHALAK??? She has ALWAYS been awesome. Lets hope this platform opens many doors for her. But you cannot disregard Mona’s efforts and dedication either.
That is why MONA DESERVED to win. Just look at the graph. She got better and better. You cannot compare an experienced dancer with a non dancer.
The judges were not professional in their reactions during the finale. GROW UP!! They were biased from the beginning especially Sanjay.
In any competion people look at talent but with that personality also counts. And Mona had both talent, modesty, and sincerity. Jassi brought her a lot of fame, but she still had her feet on the ground. Arrogance is a turn off. Shweta was a brilliant dancer but she was arrogant and a poor sportsman. She rained on Mona’s parade. Mona still took it with stride despite the cold reactions from the judges and the awkwardness of the whole situation. Mona worked hard but she remained down to earth. And that is what helped her win. The Janta can see thru it. NO one is stupid. CONGRATS TO MONA!! And we WILL see more of her because of her talent.

Shweta totally deserved to win. I really like Mona, but she is not better than Shweta. The only reason, i think, that Mona won was because she is so popular with her tv show Jassi Jaasi Koi Nahi. We all know that Shweta is much much much more talented in the dancing field than Mona. Mona has her own talents and she is really good in acting, but in dancing–hats off to Shweta.

i agree with marionelle that Mona has showed a lot of improved and that Shweta was originally a good dancer.That is the most likely reason of her success.
